Save the date cards: Simple, chic and sweet
This beautiful bride from Dallas, TX is planning a hill country wedding in Austin this spring, and she was sweet enough to let LLB Designs help with her save the dates. While her venue and dress are somewhat formal, it was important to her to set the tone of the event as relaxed and not too stuffy. She also came prepared with some gorgeous engagement photos that are a perfect blend of casual and chic. Thoughtful cropping and a sepia treatment worked together to bring the photo centerstage, and simple but pretty typography relayed the details...

A couple of years ago we at LLB Designs got to work on this couple’s colorful fiesta shower invitations, and just a year or so ago wrapped up their change-of-address cards when they bought a new home. So it probably should come as no surprise that next up is a baby shower invitation! The adorable hostesses planning the shindig wanted to play off of the couple’s illustration from their fiesta wedding shower, and also tie in the Texas-chic theme of a backyard BBQ. Awesome. Gender-neutral colors, a western font, and an updated...

Meet Dropcam, an exciting young bay area company that makes easy-to-use video cameras that let you watch your baby, your puppy, your employees — whatever you want — right over the internet. You just plug in the camera and it connects to the internet so you can watch from anywhere using a browser. Neat, right? We were thrilled when they came to us at LLB Designs with a packaging project: a custom instruction sheet to fit into the box that the product ships in. The project included fine-tuning the company’s colors and...

Everybody loves a surprise party and we here at LLB Designs are no exception; especially when we get to help out with the invitations. This family planned a special reunion and surprise party for their grandmother’s 80th birthday in St Leonard, Quebec. The party was held the first weekend in December, so winter colors and frosted images were the perfect fit. Because some guests live in the states and others in Canada, the family thoughtfully chose to include reply cards so that guests wouldn’t have to make long distance phone calls to...

This foodie and dinner party aficionado from Dallas, TX recently started a fantastic food blog: DinnerAndConversation.com. If you are at all interested in food, cooking or eating (and surely you are?) you definitely need to check out the site for recipes, tips and genuinely entertaining and real tales from a modern day family kitchen. We at LLB Designs got to help out with the logo, which was a treat for sure. The client had a pretty specific picture in mind involving a black and white color scheme, a stylized image of a fork and classic...

The Jet Group team out of Cedar Park, TX came to LLB Designs looking for new business cards. The company includes two divisions, Jet Group Realty and Jet Group Management, each with their own logo. When tackling the business cards it was important to give each a unique look while maintaining the overall company’s brand. Mixing up the colors and imagery worked like a charm. The management group’s cards featured layers of buildings and housing with a striking blue background. The realty team got crisp white cards highlighting their names...

This lucky little boy was not only adopted by two fantastic, not to mention ecstatic, parents, he also now gets to call One World Farm his new home. While most kids have to beg for a pet dog little Kai will have an entire menagerie of dogs, donkeys, sheep, chickens and goats at his disposal. Lucky indeed! We at LLB Designs were thrilled to be asked to design birth and adoption announcements for the little guy, and in the end we settled on a simple A2 card. The classic colors and elegant layout are balanced out by the fun (but not too cutesy)...

With a photo as cute as this one, we at LLB Designs just tried to stay out of the way and let miss Riley take center stage. These little birth announcements were small and sweet, printed on a beautiful uncoated stock and finished off with rounded corners and a cheeky pink envelope. Adorable–but again, it would have been hard to mess this one up. Photo by Lane Harris of Lane Harris Photography.

A few months ago we showed off one couple’s baseball-inspired custom stamps on their wedding invitations, and we’re back with a bunch of other creative ways they put their monogram to work. The weekend of the (flat-out fabulous) wedding hotel guests were presented with a reusable tote bag stuffed with snacks, information on local attractions, comics and other good stuff. Later on at the actual wedding the beautiful programs featured the monogram front and center, as did the plethora napkins and hand towels. But the biggest...

This Dallas, TX, couple asked LLB Designs for some help with their wedding save the dates, and the project was such a treat. Not only were the bride and her mom helpful and easy to work with, but the brief came with a bucket-load of gorgeous photos from the couple’s engagement photo session. Everyone had a different favorite but in the end the bride chose a light-infused shot of the couple in a doorway next to a graffiti heart. Totally unique and 100% perfect. The surrounding piece was a simple square tri-fold, with smooth white paper...
