One sweet husband recently requested a custom stationery design for his wife, Liz. The catch: he knows her well enough to know better than to choose a design for her. The solution: LLB Designs developed two brightly colored designs with unique florals and clean edges. Each was mocked-up on a magazine-style spread complete with font, size, shape and envelope options, to be printed out and presented on the lucky gal’s birthday.
Option one:
Option one, with its fresh, blue-hued color palette, was inspired by their utopia of a neighborhood in Palo Alto, California, and the agapanthus that bloom there throughout the spring and summer. The fun of fresh flowers, no watering required!
Option two:
Option two, with bold yellow and red tones, was inspired by Liz herself, her sunny and pleasant personality and the warm colors she favors in her clothing and décor. She has good taste, that one!
The winner: Option one, the blue agapanthus! Liz selected flat, A-2 cards with rounded corners, coordinating envelope and a peppy script font for her name. The result was almost as fantastic as the birthday girl herself. Success indeed!
